Police are investigating a series of break and enter offences that occurred within the Logan District in the early hours of this morning, 11 August.
Around 4.30am on Monday 10 August, a group of males gained entry to a home on Tindal Street at Gordon Park and stole a blue 2021 Kia Sorento station-wagon
Around 1.10am this morning, Tuesday 11 August, a group of males attended a home on Ronruth Street at The Gap, in the stolen Kia.
The group gained entry to the address and stole wallets, handbags and several sets of car-keys before they were interrupted by the resident.
The group fled, using the stolen keys to steal the man’s black Nissan Navara utility from the address.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
The two stolen vehicles then travelled through the Brisbane Region into Logan District.
Around 2.45am, a group of approximately four males forced entry to a liquor-store on Sambit Street at Tanah Merah by smashing the front glass doors.
The group damaged the inside of the premises before stealing a quantity of alcohol and cigarettes, then fleeing in the stolen Kia.
Around 3.20am, four males attempted to force entry to a supermarket on Kingston Road at Waterford West by smashing the front glass doors but were unsuccessful.
Police attended the scene and located a nearby tobacco shop, in the same shopping complex, which had been broken into and tobacco stolen.
Around 3.30am, four males in the stolen Kia attended a liquor store on Loganlea Road and Meadowbrook and attempted to force entry but were unsuccessful.
Shortly after, the group attended a supermarket at Chambers Flat Road at Logan Reserve where they tried to force entry.
Police were conducting proactive patrols in the area at the time and interrupted the offence.
The group fled in the stolen vehicle which police tracked for a period before it evaded officers.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed something suspicious or has dash-camera or phone footage from the vicinity of any of these incidents, that may assist investigations, to please come forward.
