Police are investigating a break-in at Elizabeth Grove this morning, where a man was assaulted.
About 5.20am today (Wednesday 27 February) police and ambulance crews were called to a house in Deptford Street after reports that a group of four men armed with weapons had forced their way into a unit and threatened the occupant, before fleeing the scene.
The victim sustained minor injuries, and was taken to hospital.
Although the investigation is in its early stages, police suspect the incident was not random.
