Bremer Bay cottage fire

Albany Detectives are seeking information to assist in their investigation into a suspicious fire at a residence located on Black Rocks Road in Bremer Bay.

On Saturday 27 November 2021, a fire started at the residence between 3pm and 5.20pm. No-one was home at the time. The fire engulfed the property causing an estimated $250,000 damage. Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended and extinguished the fire.

The Rainbow Coast Surf Life Saving Carnival was taking place on the beach in direct site of the property and anyone attending or participating in the Carnival that saw any suspicious activity or persons in the area should contact police.

Anyone with information relating to this fire, or who has mobile phone or dash-cam vision of the area around the time of the fire, is asked to contact Albany Detectives on 9892 9340 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
