Bayside Council has approved the proposed upgrade and improvements to the Brighton Baths Athletics Club.
The upgrade will ensure the building meets Australian Standards and also includes:
- a new ventilation system
- an accessible shower/toilet
- male and female change rooms with compliant showers and toilets
Council has already had discussions with the Brighton Baths Athletics Club on the proposed upgrade.
Council will engage consultants to provide structural engineering advice and design the ventilation system that will ensure adequate fresh air intake and extraction fans.
It is expected the proposed works will cost $300,000 and be funded from the Brighton Baths Reserve.
