Broadmeadows Festival: community, culture and celebration at Town Park

Broadmeadows Festival

Broadmeadows Town Park will come alive later this month, with a vibrant afternoon of live music, family activities, culture, food and community celebration set to take place at Broadmeadows Festival from 12pm on Saturday 24 October.

Hume City Council has partnered with Banksia Gardens Community Services to deliver this free event, which will transform Town Park into a lively showcase of the people, cultures and partnerships that make Broadmeadows one of Melbourne’s most diverse and dynamic communities.

Festival‑goers can enjoy a full program of entertainment including live music by Tim Green, energetic African drumming by Super Mande Percussion, a giant inflatable obstacle course, children’s activities, community stalls, cultural performances, food vendors and opportunities to connect with local organisations.

Attendees will also be able to visit the Project Broadmeadows pop‑up to learn more about the project’s long‑term vision for the suburb, explore upcoming initiatives and share ideas to help shape Broadmeadows’ future.

The festival is part of the broader Project Broadmeadows initiative, which brings together government, community organisations, businesses and local partners to support a thriving, inclusive and connected Broadmeadows. Funded by the Australian Government through the Urban Precincts and Partnerships Program, Project Broadmeadows aims to unlock opportunities, strengthen community connections and support positive social, economic and cultural outcomes for local residents.

Hume City Council acknowledges and thanks its project partners, including Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Cultural Heritage Aboriginal Corporation, Kangan Institute, Vicinity Centres, Banksia Gardens Community Services, DPV Health, Northern Community Legal Centre, Spectrum and the Victorian Government, for their ongoing contribution to the project.

Residents are encouraged to register and come along to celebrate all that makes Broadmeadows unique, connect with the community and learn more about the exciting future planned for the suburb. Register here: Broadmeadows Festival
