Bumper Week Delivering For Tasmania

Tasmanian Government

Tasmanians in every corner of the state will benefit from the outcomes of this week.

Our $20 million investment in the Recovery Fund for Regional Resilience will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come. It has delivered certainty for Tasmanians living in our regions and their future.

King Islanders have certainty and their young people will benefit as a result. We will redevelop the King Island District School to deliver better facilities, more on-island training options and a brighter future for these young people.

AI developers will pay their way. We welcome the jobs and opportunity but Tasmanians must benefit. The Local Community Benefit Fund will build up communities that host data centres – ensuring that their hospitality is paid back in kind.

Tasmania topped the nation in business confidence, and we were the only jurisdiction to have positive confidence and conditions. This is a credit to our businesses and their resilience as we work side by side to deliver opportunity and jobs.

We found Treasurer Abetz working hard to deliver our Macquarie Point Stadium. Watpac Construction has been named our preferred builder with activity at the site to increase in the near future.

The Macquarie Point Multipurpose Stadium will deliver thousands of direct and indirect jobs, it will stimulate billions in economic development and every Tasmanian will benefit as a result.

The Opposition can continue to lose themselves to infighting and negativity.

Through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future, we’re getting on with the job of delivering for Tasmanians.
