Burglaries Investigation – Metro Area

Regional Investigations Unit detectives are investigating a series of burglaries across the Perth metropolitan area this morning, Saturday 19 November 2022.

About 1:30am, Armadale Police were called to a business on Albany Highway in Maddington, in relation to an alarm activation. Officers attended and found entry had been gained to the premises by smashing a window. It is unknown if anything was stolen.

About 2:00am, Armadale Police were called to a business on Westfield Road, Camillo, following reports a vehicle in an attempt to gain entry to the premises. The building suffered significant damage to the front entry. Cigarettes were stolen from the business.

About 2:10am, Armadale Police were called to a business on Champion Drive in Kelmscott, following reports a vehicle had been used in an attempt to gain entry to the premises. The building suffered significant damage to the front entry; however, no entry was gained.

About 2:35am, Cannington Police were called to a business on Albany Highway in Victoria Park, following reports a vehicle was used to gain entry to the premises. Two scooters were stolen and a vehicle was last seen driving south east along Albany Highway.

About 2:50am, Cannington Police were called to a business on Great Eastern Highway in Redcliffe, following reports a vehicle was used to gain entry to the premises. A mobile phone was stolen.

About 3:15am, Midland Police were called to a business on West Road, Bassendean, in a relation to an alarm activation. Officers attended and found entry had been gained to the premises by smashing a door. Alcohol and cigarettes were stolen from the business.

Police are investigating if the above incidents are linked.
