Burglary and assault occasioning bodily harm charges in Brassall, QLD

Police have charged a 16-year-old boy today after responding to calls about two people acting suspiciously at a property in Brassall.

Upon arriving at the Vogel Road address police entered, fearing for the safety of the occupant.

During this time a boy and an unidentified female have run from the property.

A neighbour has attempted to stop the boy, who has responded by kicking the woman in the leg and fled on foot.

Police, including the dog squad, searched the surrounding area to locate the pair, when the boy was found at the intersection of Hunter Street and Rowan Drive.

At this point it will be alleged the boy violently resisted arrest, injuring a female senior constable before being taken into custody with assistance of members of the public.

The boy has been charged with entering a dwelling with intent, assaults occasioning bodily harm and obstructing a police officer.

He is due to appear in the Brisbane Children’s Court.

The female remains outstanding.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have information in relation to this matter to come forward.
