Burglary and fraud investigation in Surfers Paradise, QLD

Surfers Paradise detectives are appealing to the public for assistance in relation to a burglary in Surfers Paradise on the morning of June 24.

Initial investigations indicate a man has unlawfully entered the garage of a Tarcoola Crescent property before gaining entry to the home and taking multiple sets of keys and key cards just after 6am.

The man has then fled the scene in a grey 2017 Audi Q5 bearing Queensland Registration 478 DI6.

The man subsequently used the key card to make a number of fraudulent transactions at a convenience store on Surfers Paradise Boulevard later that night, before attempting to gain entry to an Orchid Avenue venue.

Police have released footage of the man, who is described as Caucasian in appearance, is approximately 170cm tall, with a slim build and short brown hair.

Anyone who recognises the man, or has any information or dashcam vision or CCTV footage in the initial burglary is urged to contact police, anonymous reports can be made.
