Burglary Incidents – Booragoon and Perth

Regional Investigations detectives are investigating two incidents that occurred at technology stores in Booragoon and Perth, this morning (Tuesday 3 September 2019).

Around 2:15am, a group of people forced entry to the store along Hay Street causing damage. Once inside, the group attempted to force entry to a secure area of the store but were disturbed.

Around 2:55am, a group have forced entry to a shopping complex along Riseley Street, Booragoon and smashed the front glass window of a technology store.

The group were armed with weapons and threatened security staff before stealing approximately $300,000 worth of items, consisting mostly of mobile phones.

The men are believed to be wearing dark coloured clothing.

Two vehicles linked to these incidents were located burnt-out in the southern suburbs earlier today.

Detectives are linking these two incidents and wish to speak with anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage in the incident locations around the time of the offences. In particular, a taxi driver and cyclist that were in the area around the time of the Perth incident.
