Burglary with violence, Glasshouse Mountains

Detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred in the Glasshouse Mountains on Sunday night.

Around 11.30pm, four men forced entry into the Springburn Drive house and confronted a 69-year-old woman and a 76-year-old man who were asleep at the time.

The group armed with a crow bar, forced the pair to sit on a chair in the bedroom while they searched the residence.

The 76-year-old man was struck in the face by one of the men before they fled the house with the victims’ jewellery, mobile phones and a purse.

The elderly man was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The first man is described as Caucasian and he was wearing shorts with a hoodie and socks with thongs. He was also wearing gloves and carrying a crowbar.

The second man is described as Caucasian and he was wearing long pants with a white long sleaved jumper, dark sneakers and a cap. He was also wearing gloves.

The third man is described as Caucasian with brown hair. He was wearing white shorts and a white t-shirt, sneakers and a cap.

The fourth man is described as Caucasian with shaved hair and about 180cm tall with a slim build. He was wearing long dark pants, a white t-shirt and sneakers. He was carrying a large torch.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have any information about this incident to please contact police.
