Ballina Shire Council wishes to advise that the next planned shutdown for maintenance on the Burns Point Ferry will be for an extended period, from 5.30am to 7pm on Tuesday 14 March 2023.
This longer closure is required for major engine maintenance and is important to ensure a reliable ferry service for visitors and locals.
Road users are advised to use the alternate route of the Pacific Highway and River Drive, Wardell, during ferry shutdowns and outside of operating hours.
