Sex Assault Squad detectives are seeking information regarding a sexual assault and robbery incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 20 January 2024.
About 1.10am, a woman was riding her E-scooter on the pedestrian underpass on the eastern side of the Causeway Bridge between the Crown Casino and Victoria Park. An unknown man pushed the woman off her E-scooter and then sexually assaulted her and stole her mobile phone, before fleeing on foot.
The male offender was last seen heading in a northerly direction and is described as being 25 to 35 years of age, with an olive/tanned complexion, a slim build, stubble on his cheeks and a longer beard around his chin. He wore a dark coloured jacket and baseball cap.
Detectives are urging anyone who was in the McCallum Park or Charles Paterson Park area (adjacent to the Swan River) between midnight and 2am on Saturday, or who has dash-cam of this area to come forward.
