Business assistance grants open: Campaspe Shire

Business support and promotion

Campaspe Shire Council resolved to reinstate the Business Assistance Grants Program at the 21 March meeting. The program provides financial incentives for businesses to grow, diversify, innovate and activate their business.

Deputy Mayor Cr Colleen Gates said local businesses should consider applying for a grant.

“This is an excellent opportunity for local businesses to apply for grants to help fund investment in their business. It may also provide the incentive needed for someone to start their own business.

“We have simplified the categories and the application process to make the program more accessible for businesses.

“There are three categories in the program. I strongly encourage local businesses to put forward an application.”

The categories are as follows:

  1. New Investment – Existing and new businesses.
  2. Innovation, Diversification, Sustainability and Efficiency – Initiatives that enhance efficiency, sustainability or introduce diversification or innovation.
  3. Activation – Support initiatives that increase activation of a business or enhance the precinct/local area.

To qualify your application and eligibility for the program, please contact Astrid O’Farrell on 1300 666 535.

To apply go to ‘Now Open’ on Council’s website. Applications close at 4pm on Friday, 28 April.
