Business welcomes the NSW government’s nation leading approach to industry policy, Business Council chief executive Jennifer Westacott said.
“The NSW government’s efforts to coordinate industry strategies across the economy is the right way to build momentum and get new industries off the ground.
“In particular, we welcome the approach to partnering with business to adapt policies to changing technology and ways of working.
“This will go a long way to giving the people of NSW confidence that they can come back stronger from the pandemic, with more jobs, more opportunities and a brighter future.
“The ability for industry to scale up is also essential for the competitiveness of Australia and the resilience of our national economy.
“It will also help put NSW at the front of the pack when it comes to attracting the new investment needed to create new jobs.”
