BuyICT platform wins award

DTA

The DTA’s BuyICT platform has won the 2021 ACT Project Management Association Award for Best Project.

The Project Management Association Awards (PMAA) has been running for 21 years through the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM). The awards celebrate program and project management excellence across 13 categories for both organisations and individuals.

The DTA’s BuyICT platform was awarded this year’s ACT 2021 PMAA for Best Project in the Government category and is now in the running for a national PMAA at the AIPM 2022 National Conference on the Gold Coast on 27 February – 1 March 2022.

This award demonstrates the work we are doing to support the government’s strategy of becoming one of the top 3 digital governments in the world by 2025. We work to make better procurement channels that drives efficiencies for buyers and sellers. This provides a platform where they can co-exist with simple and clear procurement processes that stimulate competition, innovation and encourage greater Australian participation.

Some of the BuyICT features include:

  • a one-stop-shop for digital souring procurements

  • guidance, tools and policies to help buyers and sellers understand the ‘approach the market’ process

  • the reuse catalogue, to help government save time and money by reusing existing solutions for platforms and services

  • a knowledge base of all key information about whole of government digital sourcing arrangements

  • news items to keep you up to date with the DTA’s Whole-of-Government digital sourcing arrangements and upcoming Digital Sourcing Network events.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the BuyICT platform – our buyers and sellers who use the platform daily, attend our user research sessions, provide feedback, and attend training events. Your contributions have helped us to deliver this award-winning platform.
