Byron company launches free app to help schools and parents stay connected during COVID-19

School Stream

The School Crisis Communication app has been developed by the School Stream team in collaboration with Amazon Web Services to give all schools (in Australia and worldwide) free access to the tool so they can communicate directly with parents via their phones and devices.

Given that no-one is sure how long the current COVID-19 crisis will last, the company is offering the app completely free to schools and parents for three months. Schools have no obligation to continue with the app after this time – the service is completely free.

“Keeping up-to-date with what is happening at school can be hard at the best of times. Right now knowing what is happening is absolutely critical for parents, as things are changing from day to day.” said School Stream founder and CEO Melissa Bridson. “We thought that now was the right time to offer this app for free if it can help schools and parents communicate better.”

The app provides schools with free specific COVID-19 templates, multilingual translation and unlimited messaging. Schools wishing to get the app should go to…
