Byron Shire Flood Recovery Update Friday 27 May

Some good news! Following Council’s request, the NSW Independent Flood Inquiry has confirmed it will host an in-person community Town Hall meeting in Mullumbimby on Monday 6 June 2022, at the Ex-Services Club on Dalley Street. Details of our Shire’s Flood Inquiry Town Hall meeting are as follows:

  • Monday 6 June
  • 10:30am to 12:30pm
  • Mullumbimby Ex-Services Club 58 Dalley Street, Mullumbimby

You must register to attend, and we recommend getting in early with your registration if you’re keen to go because places will fill up quickly. Register via Eventbrite

This meeting will also be live streamed.

An AUSLAN interpreter will be present at the venue, and the AUSLAN service will be included in the livestream

It is part of the NSW Independent Flood Inquiry’s work to hear from communities impacted by the March floods. Any member of the public can attend to share their views. Details are available at www.nsw.gov.au/floodinquirymeetings.

Yes, the Inquiry has extended its deadline for submissions to 24 June.
