Cafés connect seniors to services

Older residents are invited to share a coffee and meet service providers from across the area at Café Connect Campbelltown.

Cafes will be in several locations and will provide people over 55 with a one stop shop of information about health, wellbeing, carer support and local home help services.

Residents will be able to speak with service providers and find large print, digital and easy to read resource materials.

Mayor of Campbelltown George Brticevic encouraged seniors to take advantage of Café Connect.

“Café Connect is a great way of bringing local service providers directly to the community in a relaxed and social environment,” Cr Brticevic said.

“It would be great to see as many people as possible take advantage of this and enjoy the activities on offer as well,” he said.

Café locations include the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, Eagle Vale Central, Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre, Bar Centrale Café and the Campbelltown Libraries.

Café Connect will be held on several dates between 10am and 1pm and also offers a range of activities including walking, aqua classes, books and music.
