Around 3:40pm, police reports that a naked man had unlawfully entered a residence on Baily Court, Driver, before stealing alcohol and fleeing the scene.

Another report was received of the same man unlawfully entering a residence on Widdup Crescent, Driver, causing damage to the residence before being confronted by police and fleeing over a fence.

The offender then unlawfully entered a residence on Waterhouse Crescent, Driver, before threatening an occupant and fleeing the scene.

Police arrested the 34-year-old man a short distance from the residence, in possession of stolen property. He remains in custody and is expected to be charged later today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Young said “This was distressing incident for the occupants of these residences and their quick thinking and immediate triple zero calls allowed police to apprehend this offender before more homes were targeted.

“Investigations remain ongoing and we are urging everyone in Driver, and the surrounds, with CCTV to review their footage for suspicious behaviour yesterday. If you have information please make contact on 131 444 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
