Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after a robbery in Coconut Grove overnight.
Around 7:20pm, a 32-year-old woman in the company of another woman walked across Bagot Road and into a carpark in the Jape Homemaker Village. The pair were approached by a pair of youths, aged between 13 and 16, who attempted to steal the victim’s handbag.
The youths have allegedly knocked the woman to the ground before kicking her repeatedly in the head, stealing her phone and fleeing the scene.
St John Ambulance conveyed the victim with head injuries to Royal Darwin Hospital.
Detectives from the Serious Crime Squad are investigating.
Police are urging anyone with information, particularly with relevant CCTV and dash cam between the hours of 7pm and 7:40pm, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10407525.
