Car and pedestrian incident in Greenslopes, QLD

Police investigating a car and pedestrian incident in Greenslopes yesterday are appealing for public assistance.

At 6pm, a black Mazda 3 was travelling in the eastbound lanes of Cornwall Street near the intersection with Logan Road when it collided with a pedestrian who ran across the road.

The 31-year-old pedestrian was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with a serious head injury.

The 27-year-old male driver and the Mazda 3 left the scene before police arrived but both were located several hours later.

Officers are asking anyone who may witnessed the incident, or who may have dash cam footage or CCTV of the area at the time to please contact them.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
