Car Into House At Victor Harbor

A driver has been reported after crashing his car into a Victor Harbor home overnight.

Emergency services were called to Canterbury Road, Victor Harbor, at 2.40am on Sunday 11 October after a car crashed into the front of a house.

The collision caused significant damage to the home; however, fortunately, neither the occupants nor the driver were injured.

The driver, a 21-year-old Victor Harbor man who holds a provisional licence, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.105.

He was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle, drink driving and breaching the conditions of his provisional licence. He was issued with a six-month immediate loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in the Victor Harbor Magistrates Court at a later date.

Local CFS and SES volunteers attended to secure the structure while the vehicle was towed from the scene. It will be impounded for 28 days.
