Police are investigating after a car crashed through a fence and into a garage wall in Noble Park yesterday evening.
It appears the car, which was travelling down Gunther Avenue into Lawn Road, lost control on Wednesday 1 January about 6pm.
The car ended up in a driveway of a home on Lawn Road before it crashed through a fence into the garage wall of a unit on Lightwood Road and bust in to flames.
A car inside the garage was shunted out through the garage roller door by the collision.
The 25-year-old learner driver, from Springvale, was able to get out of the vehicle and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two PSO’s nearby attended the scene and assisted in checking if anyone else was in the burning vehicle before they were taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation.
They have since been released.
Dandenong Highway Patrol are investigating and are looking into whether speed and inexperience were factors in the crash.
