Car stolen at Port Wakefield, South Australia

Police are investigating the theft of a car at Port Wakefield.

Just after 9pm on Thursday 1 August, a woman was sitting in her orange Mitsubishi Lancer, with South Australian registration of S965ATG at a service station on Port Wakefield Highway when she was approached by two men.

They demanded she get out of the car, and when she did the two men got into the car and drove away.

The woman was not injured.

The police helicopter and extra patrols were called to the area to search for the stolen car, which was last seen heading towards Adelaide on the Port Wakefield Highway.

The two suspects were both wearing hooded jumpers, and are of Caucasian appearance and about 180cm tall. Anyone who sees the car is asked to call the Police Assistance Line immediately on 131444.
