Car stolen at Salisbury Plain, South Australia

Police are investigating the theft of a silver Holden sedan from a Salisbury Plain house last night.

About 10.20pm on Friday, 23 November police were called to a house in Saints Road after reports that a man had his car stolen.

He also reportedly heard a loud bang when the car was being driven away, but no weapon was seen at the time.

A police patrol saw the car nearby and briefly pursued it, before terminating the pursuit due to the high speed the Commodore was travelling at.

The victim advised police that the keys to his car, a silver Holden Commodore sedan with South Australian registration of XRM354 had been stolen during a break-in on Wednesday night, when he and another person at the house were threatened by three suspects.

Police believe that all persons are known to each other, and this was not a random incident.

Anyone who has information that can assist police with the investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
