Car stolen in Bentleigh aggravated burglary

Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a car was stolen during an aggravated burglary in Bentleigh last month.

Investigators have been told offenders gained entry to a Hallow Street residence and stole a Lexus wagon on 30 January.

Residents were at home at the time of the burglary and were unharmed.

Police say in the early hours of 31 January a man and woman went to a convenience store in Hampton in the stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was recovered later that morning.

A female offender has since been charged and bailed to appear in court.

Police are still searching for the male offender and have released images of him inside the convenience store in the hope that someone recognises the man and can provide information on his whereabouts.

Anyone who sees the offender or has further information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
