Careers+ connects job seekers with employers in Canterbury Bankstown

A virtual jobs fair showcasing employment opportunities in the Canterbury Bankstown local area will be held from 16-17 September 2020.

The Australian Government in collaboration with the Canterbury Bankstown Council have launched Careers+, to bring together job seekers and local businesses, to promote the job opportunities in the local area.

Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business, Senator the Hon Michaelia Cash, said Careers+ provides opportunities for people in the Canterbury Bankstown region who are looking for work to interact online with employers and employment service providers.

“As we see COVID-19 restrictions ease, the Government is committed to connecting job seekers with businesses who are looking to hire,” Minister Cash said.

“Careers+ is a must for anyone who wants to make the most of the businesses that are currently recruiting and I encourage local job seekers to take advantage of the range of information that will be available online.

“The Australian Government has held Jobs Fairs in many locations around Australia with more than 35,400 people having attended these events over the past two years.

“While we can’t meet in person, online presentations will provide job seekers with useful information on how to get job ready and improve their online presence.

Careers+ is a free online event from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September 2020.

Registrations are required for the event and can be made via https://cbcity.eventsair.com/careers/landing/Site/Register.
