Carols By Candlelight Tomorrow Night

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Warm up your vocal cords and get ready for brightest, merriest, and most musical event of the season – the Shellharbour City Council Carols by Candlelight.

This much-loved event will be held tomorrow Friday 8 December from 6pm to 9pm at Centenary Fields, Croome Regional Sporting Complex.

Well-known local radio presenter and performer Nick Rheinberger and multi-instrumentalist and singer Emma Price will host the event, which promises to be a night of fun and festive spirit, with a special surprise finale!

An incredible line-up of vocalists have been rehearsing well-known Christmas classics. Performers include The Music Makers, Shellharbour City Chorale and Children’s Choir, Primrose Gorringe, as well as several talented soloists and groups.

Be sure to download the song booklet so you can join in. The booklet also lists all of the performers.

Council will once again be hosting two Auslan interpreters to help make the event an inclusive and accessible experience for all to enjoy.

There will also be a Circus Drop Zone, roving performers, and Australia’s Got Talent grand final winners Acromazing from the Oak Flats Albion Park Kiama Gymnastics & Acrobatics Club. Ronald McDonald will also be making an appearance.

Children can write to Santa at the House of Letters, and there will be lots of showbags for sale. A wide range of delicious food and sweet treats will also be available from more than a dozen stallholders.

Shellharbour Mayor Chris Homer said that Carols by Candlelight was one of the region’s standout events on the Christmas calendar.

“Council’s Events Team has worked with Laughter House Entertainment to deliver this year’s event, which will be bigger and better than ever,” Mayor Homer said.

“I am so pleased that Council is once again hosting two Auslan interpreters for the event, as well as the Music Makers.

“Council has been hosting a series of events over the past week or so as part of our Celebration of Ability Calendar, marking International Day of People with a Disability, so it’s wonderful they will be able to join us,” he said.

Mayor Homer thanked the event’s sponsors for their support – McDonalds Albion Park and Albion Park Rail, Domaine Homes, i98FM, WIN Network, and Remondis.
