Cars smashed with axe at Glen Waverley dealerships

Police are investigating after around twenty vehicles were smashed with an axe in Glen Waverley earlier this month.

It is understood a man damaged vehicles at several car dealerships along Springvale Road between 6am and 8am on 2 November.

Investigators were told the man was armed with an axe, which he used to smash the windscreens and bodies of around twenty vehicles.

The man fled the scene on foot.

Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV and images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as being about 175cm tall with black curly hair.

He was wearing a tan coloured hoodie and pants with slide shoes.
