CCTV appeal after assault, attempted robbery in Revesby

Police have released CCTV images as they continue to investigate an assault and attempted robbery at a Revesby apartment building earlier this month.

About 7.30pm on Sunday 6 June 2021, a 39-year-old man walked down to the lobby of his apartment building on Marco Avenue, Revesby, after his intercom was alerted.

Police have been told the man opened the door to the lobby when he was assaulted by an unknown man, who forced him back inside and pushed him up against the wall.

The unknown man demanded money from the occupant, then stole his keys, before handing them to an unknown woman.

The pair fled on foot and were last seen heading east on Marco Avenue.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As police continue their inquiries, they have released CCTV footage and images of a man and a woman who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his late 30s/early 40s, of solid build, with short black hair and stubble. He is depicted wearing a green jumper with the words ‘Silent Theory’ on the sleeves and ‘Silent’ on the front, black pants and black shoes.

The woman is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of thin build, with long black/brown hair. She is depicted wearing a black long-sleeved jumper, black pants with two white stripes on the left lower leg, and brown shoes. She is carrying a light brown/grey bag.
