CCTV footage released as part of Brighton hit-run investigation

Police have released CCTV footage as part of an ongoing investigation into a hit-run collision involving a cyclist in Brighton.

A cyclist was struck by a car on St Kilda Street near Chatsworth Avenue shortly after 6am on Saturday, 28 May.

The car failed to stop at the scene.

The cyclist, a 69-year-old Hampton man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Today, investigators are releasing CCTV which shows the cyclist and vehicle moments before the collision.

Police are also releasing footage of two vehicle believed to have been in the vicinity of the incident whose occupants may have witnesses something that could assist investigators.

The first is a dark coloured SUV, the second a distinctive large crane truck.

The occupants of these vehicle are urged to come forward.
