CCTV images of Hope Valley intruder

Police are seeking the assistance of the public to help identify a man as part of an investigation into a Hope Valley break-in.

About 12.15pm on Thursday 24 October, a woman aged in her 60s arrived at her John Ramsay Circuit, Hope Valley home and confronted a man inside her home.

The intruder stole an amount of jewellery and ran from the premises. He was armed with a knife and the victim received minor injuries during a scuffle. She was treated at the scene by paramedics.

Police set up cordons in the area while Police Dog Havoc conducted a search, but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, aged in his 20s, 170 cm tall, slim build, wearing a cap, shorts and had a jumper tied around his waist.

A man matching that description was captured on CCTV nearby and police are seeking the assistance of the public to identify him.
