CCTV images released after sexual touching in Caringbah

Police have released CCTV images and are appealing for public assistance following an alleged sexual touching at Caringbah last week.

About 6.20am on Thursday 9 January 2020, a man boarded a train at Central Railway Station (bound for Caringbah) and has seated himself next to a woman who was sleeping.

Police will allege the woman has woken up and observed the man inappropriately touching and exposing himself to her.

The woman left the train and reported the matter to police.

The man left the train at Caringbah around 7.30am.

Officers attached to the Police Transport and Public Safety Command were alerted and commenced inquiries to identify the man.

As investigations continue, police would like to speak to the man depicted in the images who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, about 40, with a shaved head, and slim build.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie and beanie, blue pants and black shoes with a grey/brown satchel bag.
