CCTV released after bus driver abused, NSW

Police have released CCTV images as they continue to investigate an altercation on a bus in Sydney’s south-west last month.

About 6.30pm on Wednesday 20 November 2019, police have been told a man boarded a bus at the Sydney International Airport bus stop before verbally abusing the bus driver, a 58-year-old man.

About 6.45pm, the driver stopped outside Banksia Railway Station, when the man again verbally abused him.

Another passenger tried to intervene before the man sprayed both of them with water and fled the bus. He was last seen walking north on Railway Street, Banksia.

Officers from the Police Transport Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

As part of their investigation, police have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of a medium build, with dark hair and dark facial hair. He is depicted in the vision as wearing a dark shirt, black pants and carrying a black bag.
