CCTV released in appeal for assistance into fatal crash near Grafton, NSW

Police have released CCTV and are appealing for public assistance as the investigation into a fatal crash continues.

Just before 11am on Tuesday 5 March 2019, emergency services were called Summerland Way, Junction Hill, about 5km north of Grafton, after reports a black Peugeot and a white Mazda collided.

The 77-year-old female driver and sole occupant of the Mazda died at the scene.

The sole occupant and driver of the Peugeot, a 17-year-old girl, was taken to Grafton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and has since been discharged.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District established a crime scene and officers attached to the Far North Coast Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Investigators would like to speak to the driver of a vehicle depicted in the CCTV as a white Toyota Landcruiser utility, with a dog cage on the back, which was not involved in the collision.

The vehicle travelled through Junction Hill, just before 11am on Tuesday 5 March 2019 and was driving behind a black Peugeot.
