CCTV vision released over stolen utility at a Tumut motel, NSW

Police have released CCTV vision and are appealing for public assistance after a utility was allegedly stolen outside a motel in Tumut last week.

Between 7pm on Tuesday 8 October 2019, and 6:20am on Wednesday 9 October 2019, a white 2008 Toyota Hilux utility, bearing NSW registration plates CJ-90-MO, was secured and parked outside a motel room on Snowy Mountains Highway and Bundara Crescent, Tumut.

Police have been told that after the owner of the utility, a 24-year-old Albion Park man exited his vehicle, he believed he may have dropped his car keys, but did not find anything on the ground.

About 6.20am Wednesday 9 October 2019, the 24-year-old man left his motel room and realised his car was missing.

Officers from Riverina Police District commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are now releasing CCTV vision of two males who may be able to assist with their investigation.

The first male is described as being approximately 165cm tall. He is depicted wearing a camouflage hoodie, camo water bag as a back pack, long track-suit pants, dark Nike shoes, and holding a skate board.

The second male is described as being approximately 155-160cm tall. He is depicted wearing a light-coloured hoodie, with his face covered, white sneakers, and carrying a scooter.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information to assist investigators is urged to come forward.
