Celebrating excellence in our hospitality industry

Nic Street,Minister for Hospitality and Events

Tasmania’s hospitality industry is vital to the State’s future economic sustainability and the Tasmanian Liberal Government is supporting the growth of the sector.

In 2021, the industry contributed more than $720 million to the State economy, and we will continue to work closely with the Tasmanian Hospitality Association (THA) and industry to ensure that figure continues to grow.

Last night, Tasmania’s most outstanding hospitality businesses were celebrated at the 2022 THA and Tas Gas Awards for Excellence at Hobart’s Wrest Point.

One of the highlights of the Tasmanian hospitality calendar, the awards event featured a total of 39 award categories including dining, accommodation, and general category awards. Tasmania is renowned for its quality food and beverage experiences, and the Awards acknowledge the outstanding achievements of businesses who deliver exceptional experiences for both locals and visitors.

Congratulations to all nominees and category winners on your outstanding achievements and commitment to the growth of this vital sector.
