Changes to Council Services

Whitehorse City Council is implementing the shut-down of various facilities announced by the Premier, and the advanced social distancing announced by the Prime Minister.

Council will to continue provide essential services to the Whitehorse community, including Meals on Wheels, waste collection and childhood immunisation.

We will also continue to provide our other services as much as possible, though our face-to-face customer service roles will be reduced.

Whitehorse Mayor, Cr Sharon Ellis said “Council will continue to perform our role in keeping our community safe and healthy. Our officers will continue to ensure food safety, maintain hygiene in public facilities and monitor the safety of our physical assets.

Council will maintain good governance, strong leadership and effective customer services. We will ensure that Council can continue to be responsive to the changing needs of our community in this difficult time.”
