Children needing access to Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) supports will benefit from changes announced today by Stuart Robert, Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
To resolve the delays and backlogs experienced by many young children, a six-month plan will be implemented to:
Backlogs will be addressed by redirecting available NDIA ECEI planners to work with ECEI Partners.
NDS congratulates Minister Robert for taking such quick action to reduce the long delays currently experienced by many young children needing early childhood early intervention supports. Good, early access to these supports is critical to maximising the functional capacity of young children with disability now and into their future.
