The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has advised that Melbourne councils can now resume enforcing Green Parking Zones under COVID-19 restrictions.
From Monday 12 October 2020, we will only be issuing warnings for overstays in Yarra’s Green Parking Zones. We expect to move to issuing of infringements where necessary from Monday 19 October 2020.
We’re also working with local hospitals and medical facilities to ensure health care workers continue to have access to car parking.
Our parking inspectors work under Yarra’s COVIDSafe Plan and are following current health advice. This includes physical distancing, wearing face masks and practicing good hygiene.
