Changes to Mornington servicing arrangements

Staff and services from the Mornington Service Centre will relocate to Frankston and Rosebud Service Centres from April this year.

The last day of trade at the Mornington Service Centre will be Friday, 27 March. Services Australia General Manager Hank Jongen said it follows a significant reduction in customers visiting the service centre. ‘As service centre leases come up for renewal, Services Australia takes the opportunity to review servicing options to ensure it continues to keep pace with the changing needs of the community,’ Mr Jongen said. ‘Customer numbers at the Mornington Service Centre have fallen by 46 per cent over the past five years as more and more people choose to do their Centrelink and Medicare business online or through their doctor’s surgery. ‘By relocating existing staff and services from our Mornington Service Centre to those at Frankston and Rosebud, more staff will be available to provide tailored support to those customers who need additional assistance. ‘No staff will be losing their job as a result of this change.’ Customers from the Mornington area will be able to access the Frankston and Rosebud Service Centres through public transport. The Frankston and Rosebud Service Centres will be open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
