Wollongong City Council is advising residents and visitors that there will be temporary changes to vehicle access at Beaton Park from Monday 11 December to Friday 15 December.
During this time, the entry road off Foley Street will be fully closed. Alternative access will be available from Gipps Street, near the Crawford Avenue intersection.
While smaller vehicles will be able to reach the car park in front of the Centre via the causeway, this entry is not suitable for larger vehicles. We recommend larger vehicles park at the Snake Pit stadium and walk across to Beaton Park.
This change to traffic conditions is so that Council can safely complete essential stormwater drainage works as part of the Beaton Park tennis courts project. This is an exciting project that will see Beaton Park transformed into a new Regional Tennis Hub.
