Ramsay Health Care Australia Pty Ltd is facing two charges under section 23(1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for failing to ensure, so far as reasonably practicable, that persons other than employees were not exposed to health and safety risks.
The patient took their own life while undergoing treatment in the hospital’s perinatal mental health unit in November 2023.
The matter is listed for a filing hearing at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 6 November 2025.
