Major Crime Detectives have charged three men with serious harm following an investigation into an assault incident which occurred on Sunday, 23 December, in Borroloola.
The men, aged 23, 24 and 27, have been remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court on Thursday 27 December.
Unfortunately the 19-year-old victim in the assault passed away this evening in Royal Darwin Hospital.
Investigations remain ongoing and further charges are proposed relating to his death.
