Northern Territory Police have charged a man after an alleged sexual assault in Darwin City yesterday.
Around 12:45am, police received reports that a woman was sexually assaulted by a man who was not known to her in Darwin City.
Police attended the scene and the woman was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for assessment.
At 1:30am, A 41-year-old man was located within the city and taken into custody. He has now been charged with Sexual intercourse without consent and Aggravated assault and remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
Investigations remain ongoing.
