With just one month to go until we reopen our borders, we are continuing to implement a range of initiatives to better prepare ourselves to safely and responsibly reconnect Tasmania.
We know COVID-19 will arrive in Tasmania at some point which is why we have added additional features to our Check in TAS app.
From today, the app will enable fully vaccinated users to share their COVID-19 vaccination Digital Certificate to their Check in TAS app.
This upgrade is now live and available for download on Apple iOS devices, with Android functionality expected to be available on Google store over the next 24-48 hours.
To use this new function, it is an easy 4 step process:
- Upgrade your Check in TAS app to the latest version (some devices will do this automatically, others will ask you to upgrade manually);
- You will then need to access your COVID-19 Vaccination Digital Certificate through either your Medicare online account, MyGov, or through the Express Plus Medicare app;
- Select to share your COVID-19 vaccination digital certificate with Check in TAS; and
- You will then be directed to the Check in TAS app to click ‘accept’ to add the digital certificate to your profile, which will be shown as a ‘green tick’ next to your name on the Check in TAS home page.
