Hosted at Hawkesbury Showground, residents can safely dispose of their unwanted household chemicals without even getting out of the car! By responsibly disposing of these items, it prevents fire hazards and protects our local environment and waterways.
The below items can be disposed of at the event.

- Acids and alkalis
- Aerosols
- Household cleaners
- Car and household batteries
- Motor and cooking oils
- Gas bottles
- Fire extinguishers
- Pool and hobby chemicals
- Fluorescent tubes

Hawkesbury Chemical Cleanout Event

Hawkesbury Showground, Racecourse Road, Clarendon (entry via Gate 1)
9am to 3.30pm
Place all eligible materials in the rear of the vehicle (for example the boot of your car). On arrival, stay in your vehicle and staff will unload and collect the items from your vehicle for safe disposal.
