Child dies after Hoppers Crossing collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a fatal collision in Hoppers Crossing on Sunday, 13 November.

It is understood a vehicle collided with a child at the intersection of Derrimut and Heaths Road around 9.15pm.

The child was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries but sadly died.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old Werribee man stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
