Police have commenced inquiries after a child was hit by a car at Fairfield today.
About 4.10pm (Friday 19 February 2021), police were called to Fairfield Hospital after the seriously injured child was taken in for treatment.
It’s believed the two-year-old boy had been hit by a car on Nelson Street at Fairfield Heights.
The child is being transferred to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition.
Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command are speaking with the driver, who is known to the child, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
